World Textile Information Network (WTiN), publisher of international technical textiles magazine Future Textiles (formerly known as Future Materials), launched the technical textiles awards in 2014 to recognise success in textile innovation and celebrate the essential work of the many businesses which support the industry.
This was followed by a second edition in Milan, staged during ITMA 2015. Each welcomed over 200 guests, including a host of leading companies and research institutes.
From now onwards, WTiN’s technical textiles awards will be known as the Future Textiles Awards, reflecting a more specialist focus on the purely ‘textile’ areas of technical textiles. By honing in on specific application areas, it enables us to target the greatest points of interest across technical textiles – bringing you tailored industry insight to benefit your business, and better reflecting what lies ahead by enhanced coverage of the latest research and product developments. Now a biennial event to reflect the product development cycle, it is hoped that the longer time period between editions will attract an even bigger variety of cutting-edge products, processes and treatments.
The industry leading awards recognise innovation and achievement right across the technical textiles industry, with 20 dedicated categories providing competition for all end-use sectors for technical textiles as well as materials experts, product developers and designers.
